About the Event

Okinawa JALT and AMICUS International School are pleased to announce a call for papers for the 21st Century Language Teaching Conference 2019 (21CLT), to be held at AMICUS International School on Saturday, October 5th. The deadline for submissions is September 15th.

This will be the third annual occasion for this event, which focuses on practical discussions and insights about foreign language education. In its previous two occasions the conference was highly-attended by educators from Okinawa, Japan, and abroad. This event is endorsed by the Okinawa Prefectural Board of Education and we are looking forward to active participation from educators from near and far!

Post-conference publication opportunities are available.

Types of presentations:

  • Keynote address by a leading speaker in the field of second language learning
  • Workshop presentations (90 minutes)*
  • Research presentations (25 minutes)*
  • Best practice presentations (25 minutes)*
  • Poster presentations (60 minutes)*

How to participate?

After a double-blind review, you will be advised of your acceptance or adjustments that need to be made. If at first you don’t succeed… wherever possible we make every effort to provide feedback that will help you revise your proposal so that you can participate in 21CLT.
